BK residents exceed donation expectations for Haiti

The National Guard announced Wednesday that Brooklyn residents have exceeded donation expectations for hurricane-battered Haiti. Officials say that 6,000 food items, 340 cases of water and 74 pallets

The National Guard announced Wednesday that Brooklyn residents have exceeded donation expectations for hurricane-battered Haiti.
Officials say that 6,000 food items, 340 cases of water and 74 pallets of supplies are ready to be shipped to Haitian organizers.
Haitian authorities say that money will also be needed to rebuild schools, roads and bridges.
Donations will be accepted at the National Guard Armory in Crown Heights now through Sept. 26.
