Brooklyn residents had mixed reactions to today's announcement that the New York Islanders will call the Barclays Center home.
Islanders owner Charles Wang announced that the team signed a 25-year deal with the new arena starting in the 2015-2016 season.
Some fans said they will miss Nassau Coliseum and some are worried about how they'll be treated in Brooklyn, where many hockey fans support their Manhattan rivals. Others support the move, especially after the team scared many by flirting with cities like Kansas City and Seattle.
The deal still has to be officially approved by the National Hockey League, which could take some time due to the current lockout.
