The "city that never sleeps" took a brief nap Saturday with some businesses closing their doors as a blizzard blew through the borough.
Business mostly returned to normal Monday for shops along Rockaway Parkway, but it was basically a ghost town on Saturday.
VIP Electronics was among the shops to remain closed during the storm, as most of its employees couldn't even make it to work with most forms of transportation suspended.
The Classic Barber Shop near Flatlands Avenue was one of the few businesses that stayed opened, and was giving fresh cuts to patrons who braved the elements.
