Members of Black Lives Matter say there will be an uprising if Mayor-elect Eric Adams doesn’t listen to their policy ideas. 

The group met with Adams Wednesday to discuss the policing efforts. 

Black Lives Matter activists rallied Wednesday outside Brooklyn Borough Hall, demanding a meeting with Adams. 

Once members met with Adams, the talk turned to policing, with members saying there will be riots if Adams brings back the controversial anti-crime units.

"If Eric Adams refuses to pass legislation or stand on the side of the people, we have no choice but to uprise,” said Chivona Newsome, Black Lives Matter Greater New York co-founder.

Activists for the group say told Adams they’ll be holding him accountable for his actions.

"Eric Adams does not have a plan and he does not want to be held accountable for lack of a plan and that's my role as a community leader,” said Newsome.

Adams responded to the comments, doubling down on his plan for the crime units.

"I'm going to put in place a plainclothes anti-gun unit to go after the guns. And gangs, they go together,” said Mayor-elect Adams. 

Mayor Bill de Blasio took to Twitter to share his stance, saying: "Any threat of violence against New York City is unacceptable, and we take every threat seriously. There's no place for this type of language here."

Black Lives Matter members say they will continue to meet with Adams once he’s in office.
