Police are searching for a man who they say is responsible for a hate crime attack aboard an N train at the Atlantic Avenue subway station.
They say the man beat a 54-year-old on his face and body while making anti-Jewish statements aboard a northbound train just before 11 a.m. Monday.
Authorities say he then snatched the victim's yarmulke from his head.
EMS took the 54-year-old to SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where he is expected to recover.
The man got away on an N train and was last seen at the Canal Street station in lower Manhattan, according to police. He was last seen wearing a black surgical facemask, a gray sweatshirt, khaki pants, a black jacket, black shoes and carrying an orange book bag.
