Police say a 27-year-old man was fatally struck by a BMW which then crashed into a telephone pole early Saturday morning in Williamsbridge.

Detectives say an unidentified individual driving a 2025 BMW M8 struck Shariq Bryant on East 222nd Street around 12:18 a.m. before they struck the telephone pole.

The driver of the BMW did not remain on the scene.

Bryant was taken to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi where he was pronounced dead.

A 28-year-old man who was in the front-seat passenger of the BMW suffered minor injuries.

There were no arrests as of Sunday night.

Anyone with information about the crash or the driver's whereabouts is urged to call police.
