A 40-year-old cyclist is in critical condition after he was hit by someone driving a black suv early Monday in Bedford-Stuyvesant, police said.

The crash happened just after 1 a.m. at Lafayette and Bedford avenues. Investigators say the cyclist was riding an e-bike when the SUV traveling north on Bedford Avenue hit him. Police identified the driver as a 27-year-old man who stayed at the scene.

Officers blocked off the intersection for hours as they looked over debris, including a backpack left in the street.

EMS rushed the cyclist to Kings County Hospital, where he is fighting for his life.

Police say no arrests have been made, and the investigation is still ongoing.
