Borough Hall holds annual Christmas tree lighting

With only 15 days left until Christmas, the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held at Borough Hall Monday. Borough President Marty Markowitz helped lead the festivities in downtown Brooklyn.

With only 15 days left until Christmas, the annual Christmas tree lighting ceremony was held at Borough Hall Monday.
Borough President Marty Markowitz helped lead the festivities in downtown Brooklyn. Deputy Borough President Yvonne Graham and other Brooklyn lawmakers were on hand to wish family members, friends and residents a happy holiday.
This year the tree stands at 38 feet tall. "Two feet taller than last year," Markowitz noted.
