Roads that have been blocked off for days following the Borough Park explosion are slowly starting to reopen.
The building explosion killed two and left more than a dozen injured.
Since Saturday, 13th Avenue and several other side streets were barricaded off for about three blocks. Although the street has reopened, drivers can expect some heavy traffic. Only one lane is operating as crews continue the cleanup.
The building where the explosion occurred has been completely demolished, and News 12 Brooklyn has learned that the adjacent buildings may come down as well. There is no official word yet.
The cause of the explosion is still under investigation. The FDNY preliminarily suspected it was due to a gas leak. The FDNY now says the explosion may have been intentional.
