The borough president is joining a Brooklyn family in seeking answers after they say their 8-year-old son was severely injured at school.

News 12 Brooklyn was told that third grader, Roger Gao, required emergency brain surgery Monday after allegedly sustaining a traumatic brain injury during gym class at P.S. 250.

“I was outraged to learn that a child entered into the care of the Department of Education and would receive such an injury of this magnitude,” says Borough President Eric Adams.

Adams joined Gao’s father and family lawyer Sunday to demand answers, arguing that the Williamsburg school has not communicated exactly that which happened to the boy.

“We're not only concerned, we're outraged that it has taken this long for a proper communication to this father,” says lawyer John Elefterakis.

The family is calling for a full investigation by the Department of Education into what caused such a serious injury as a skull fracture for their son.

The family says the boy is in stable condition at home and in good spirits but has some memory loss.

News 12 has reached out to the Department of Education for comment, but has not yet received a response.
