A section of the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway is closed for the weekend for road repairs.
The closure started Saturday at 2 a.m. and will last until Monday 4 a.m. Lanes in both directions will be closed from Atlantic Avenue to Sands Street.
The New York City Department of Transportation says the closure will last for 52 hours while repairs and replacement work are being done.
The DOT advises commuters and residents in impacted areas to use public transportation and prepare for travel delays.
