An unidentified campaign worker for Bridgeport Mayor Joe Ganim has been referred to criminal prosecutors in connection with the city's ongoing ballot fraud scandal.
Two voters filed a complaint with the State Elections Enforcement Commission claiming that a woman admitted to illegally collecting absentee ballots.
According to the complaint, one voter said the woman told her that "she hoped she voted for Ganim on Row A or that she would be upset with her."
On Wednesday, SEEC voted to forward the complaint to the Chief State's Attorney for possible criminal charges.
