Brighton Beach residents are causing their own uproar over a noisy construction zone in their neighborhood.
According to people in the area, work near Corbin Place and Ocean View Avenue has caused cracks in some houses. Fire officials confirm they responded to the area for one minor wall collapse, and say the Buildings Department was called to investigate.
No one has been injured, but neighbors are worried that it'll get worse if construction continues. They say the construction causes vibrations in their homes, making them feel unsafe.
"Due to the nature of NYC construction always occurring in close proximity to neighboring properties, some disturbance is always expected," Rybak Development and Construction said in a statement. "We will continue to perform our work to the best of our ability and to the highest possible industry standards."
