Hot wings and chips are likely to feature on most Super Bowl Sunday menus, but no Game Day party is complete without sweet treats, and that is where one Bronx bakery comes in.
Senda Paljevic, co-owner of Conti's Pastry Shoppe in Morris Park, says her phone has been ringing off the hook this week with people rushing to order their Super Bowl-themed desserts.
Conti's is best known for its Boston cream pie, but for this week, it has been renamed the New York Giants cream pie.
Other Game Day-related sweets on Conti's menu include a football-shaped red velvet cupcakes that have been dyed blue in honor of Big Blue, as well as cookies that look like Giants jerseys.
Giants-themed cookies, football-strawberries and cupcakes go for between $2 and $3 a piece, but don't come to Conti's looking for Patriots desserts.
"Anyone that's actually a Patriots fan will get charged an additional 20 percent this week," says Conti's co-owner Sal Paljevic.
