It's been over a year since New Yorkers have been allowed to pull up a seat at the bar for a drink or a meal, but that will soon change.

Starting Friday, indoor dining can increase to 75% capacity.

On May 19, most capacity restrictions will end, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.

For businesses that do not require proof of a negative COVID-19 test or vaccinations, they must still ensure customers are 6-feet apart. For some, they may not be able to open at 100% capacity.

The workers at Bronx Alehouse are feeling optimistic and say they're in it for the long haul.

"That's really what we're here for, see those people in the neighborhood, welcome them and they're hopefully just as excited to come back," said co-owner James Langstine.

The midnight curfew will end for outdoor dining May 17 and indoor dining May 31.
