The officers who shot and killed a man in Edenwald in 2019 will not be prosecuted, according to the Bronx district attorney.
NYPD body cam footage of the encounter that turned deadly was released by the DA's office.
The investigation found that after a chase, Det. Brian Mulkeen got into a struggle with 27-year-old Antonio Williams, shooting him to death.
In the moments immediately after, at least one other officer shot and killed Det. Mulkeen.
Prosecutors say WIlliams did have a loaded firearm on him that night.
Williams' parents and their attorney Friday said the decision not to prosecute the officers involved is unacceptable.
They say Williams was waiting outside for a cab that September 2019 night and ended up dead because of the unjust and reckless actions of these officers, shooting at Williams from around 60 feet away and even killing one of their own.
The family wants the officers involved fired.
They filed a civil lawsuit against the NYPD and the city in November.
