Lincoln Hospital has kicked off a unique program to help struggling artists without health insurance. Officials say struggling artists can now get the care that they need through the Art Exchange Program.

Lincoln Hospital has kicked off a unique program to help struggling artists without health insurance.
Officials say struggling artists can now get the care that they need through the Art Exchange Program.
Administrators say local artists can provide their talents to the hospital in exchange for medical services. They say that dozens of musicians, songwriters and painters have signed up.
Legendary rapper Roxanne Shante is among those helping to promote the program after her own experience as a cancer survivor without medical insurance.
