Bronx Jewish community at ease for Rosh Hashana
Many members of the Bronx Jewish community say they feel safe celebrating Rosh Hashana this year, despite continued unrest in the Middle East.
Dozens of congregants at the Riverdale Temple say their thoughts are more about peace abroad than safety at home as they ring in the Jewish New Year. Their temple was one of two places targeted by would-be terrorists in 2009.
The NYPD has stepped up security at synagogues throughout the city for High Holy Days.
