A Bronx man is being hailed a hero for putting a stop to an alleged attempted kidnapping last Friday.
According to officials, John Vasquez, a janitor at P.S. 160, intervened when a man approached a 6-year-old boy in front the Co-op City elementary school, grabbed him by the arm and told him to come with him.
Police say they are still looking for the suspect, who is described as an African-American in his 50s, and about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a thick gray and white beard. He was last seen wearing a baseball cap, green camouflage pants and black boots.
