The Bronx County District Attorney's Office is investigating corruption allegations against a local politician.
State Assemblywoman Naomi Rivera is accused of siphoning money out the nonprofit Bronx Council for Economic Development and hiring her love interest to work at the organization, despite his alleged lack of qualifications for the job.
The district attorney says the claims were made by Rivera's former boyfriend, Vincent Pinella.
Rivera denies the allegations and says she is adamant that she will be vindicated once the investigation is complete.
