Bronx residents of all ethnic backgrounds rang in the Chinese New Year with traditional food at a popular Johnson Avenue eatery.

Jim Eber says he came to J. Jade Dim Sun Café Sunday because it's important to explore other cultures, especially when living in diverse New York City. Employees at the café say the festivities, which can last several days, are always a happy time.

This year is the Year of the Golden Pig, which is known for prosperity and a fertile time for couples.
