Two Bronx students have been chosen for a prestigious summer scholarship at one of the nation's top music colleges.
Bronx juniors Luis Taveras and Roselyn Reyes were among three New York City students awarded a summer scholarship to Berklee College of Music in Boston.
The Bronx students were awarded scholarships through Amp Up NYC. The five-week summer program aims to provide students an opportunity to be immersed at one of the nation's top music colleges.
Next year the program plans to double the number of students receiving the music scholarship to Berklee.
