The Brooklyn Blizzards hosted a basketball tournament that wrapped up yesterday at the Howard Houses playground.
The youth group worked with anti-violence groups like "Increase the Peace" to offer safe places for families during the summer.
Volunteers say for eight weeks they hosted events in five locations, and crime in those areas has gone down as a result of the games.
