Businesses along Washington Avenue and Park Place are calling on the Department of Transportation to install more benches in the neighborhood.

After the Department of Transportation extended the sidewalks along the two streets, business owners such as Gina Reyes suggested they would be a perfect place for benches.

"Sometimes people need to sit down - they could sit here," she says.

The Department of Transportation says it is analyzing the request.
