A Brooklyn couple has created an app that makes it easier to support black-owned eateries around the country.
The app
eatOkra works in more than 30 cities in the U.S.
There are currently about 1,800 restaurants listed, with 300 in New York.
Creators Anthony and Janique Edwards say they came up with the idea as they tried get to know the area in Brooklyn they had just moved to.
The app first came out in the summer of 2016. Now more than three years later, they're happy they've been able to connect people to black-owned businesses.
They're now working on a version that will include food trucks and caterers to give users more options.
