A Brooklyn couple is speaking to News 12 after their home was broken into and robbed of thousands of dollars worth of valuables.
Dr. Farhat Shireen and Zafar Temuri live in Prospect Park South. They say a brazen burglar managed to crack open their bedroom window in broad daylight last Monday while their teenage daughter slept, making them feel unsafe in their own home.
According to the family, three MacBooks, speakers, jewelry and six smartphones were stolen, all valued at more than $25,000. Shireen says she's worried about the computers because they contain patient information, but is hoping officers can track them down because they have locator devices.
News 12 reached out to police about the crime. They say the investigation is ongoing.
