Many Brooklyn domestic workers spoke out Friday at the Cornell University Labor Center in Manhattan. The workers say they are sick of bad working conditions and are demanding justice, respect and recognition.

Many Brooklyn domestic workers spoke out Friday at the Cornell University Labor Center in Manhattan. The workers say they are sick of bad working conditions and are demanding justice, respect and recognition. Many of the workers are pushing for a domestic workers bill of rights. They say the bill would give them basic benefits and fair wages. Currently, many workers say they endure long hours, below poverty level wages and verbal and physical abuse. According to advocacy groups, the domestic workers? bill of rights has already been proposed. They say it has found support from the majority of legislators in Albany.
