The families of three young men who drowned over the weekend returned to Brooklyn Tuesday after a somber trip to upstate New York.
The three boys, Carlo Milito, Anthony DuPont and Domenico Coluccio, died Sunday after their boat tipped over while they were fishing near the Catskills hamlet of Smallwood. Twenty-year-old Gianfranco Generoso managed to swim ashore after the incident.
Outside Milito's home Tuesday, friends and family lit candles in his memory. The 19-year-old was the last one to be pulled from the lake.
Inside the Milito family's Royal Crown Bakery, Milito's cousin Nicky Generoso expressed his shock. "He's gone and he's not coming back anymore," he says. "The only thing we have left is his memories."
A wake is planned on Wednesday and Thursday for all three young men before they are laid to rest Friday.
