A Brooklyn Heights man is updating his Twitter followers about lines at Trader Joe's as people flock grocery stores for essentials during the coronavirus pandemic.
Residents say they normally see a long line at the Trader Joe's on Court Street and Atlantic Avenue. Jacob Shwirtz says the line can make things hard for essential workers and those trying to limit their time outdoors, so he came up with a solution.
Shwirtz created a Twitter account called Trader Joe's Line alert, as he can see the grocery store from his apartment.
He says all you have to do is ask him about the line on Twitter, and as he explains on his page, he's not a bot but a quarantined human.
