Brooklyn holds own NYE celebrations

For the first time ever, Brooklyn rivaled Times Square with its own version of a ball drop in Coney Island. 
A 2015 light show made up of 8,000 LED lights led the New Year's Eve countdown, followed by a simulated digital ball drop at the Parachute Jump. 
There was also music, entertainers, a fireworks show and free parking. 
There were also other local events, including fireworks and hot chocolate at Grand Army Plaza.
