The borough held its first official remembrance ceremony Wednesday as New York prepares for the 14th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Mourners and community leaders filled the Borough Hall Rotunda for prayers, readings and tributes.
Borough President Eric Adams says he plans to make the event an annual tradition.
"We want each borough to personalize their story," Adams says.
Residents seeking to become involved with future events should contact the borough president's office, he says.
