Community members came together this evening for a salsa party to help those affected by Hurricane Maria.
The free outdoor salsa party in Willoughby Plaza collected donations for the hurricane victims in Puerto Rico.
Brooklyn’s Salsa Salsa Dance Studio teamed up with Downtown Brooklyn Partnership for the event.
"I'm hoping that those in Puerto Rico know that even us in Downtown Brooklyn are standing with them," said Kinsey Crowley, of Dowtown Brooklyn Partnership.
