There is good news for bookworms - Brooklyn public libraries will be expanding their days and hours.
Thanks to an infusion of cash from the City Council, all 60 Brooklyn library branches will be open at least six days a week.
The branch in Midwood was previously closed on weekends, but it will be open on Sundays beginning Oct. 25. The Midwood area is largely Orthodox, and Orthodox Jews cannot go to the library on Shabbat, or Saturday.
Renovations to the library are set to be completed soon, and new books will also be added.
