A Brooklyn man convicted of murdering an 8-year-old boy in 2011 died in custody, according to state correction officials.

Levi Aron, 49, was serving 40 years to life for killing Leiby Kletzky and dismembering his corpse.

Aron died after he was admitted to a hospital in August for a medical condition. Officials say his death was expected, and his family did not request an autopsy.

Aron kidnapped Kletzky on his way home from a day camp school in July 2011.

Kletzky was suffocated to death, and his dismembered corpse was found by police.

Kletzky's severed feet were discovered in a freezer at Aron’s home in Kensington, just 2 miles from the boy’s home, while the rest of his body was found inside a suitcase that had been thrown in a trash bin a mile away.
