A Brooklyn middle school is taking steps to bring healthy and delicious food options to Brownsville.

Brownsville Collaborative Middle School students partnered with Teens for Food Justice and Community Care of Brooklyn to create a fresh food program.
Students at the school were able to grow fresh produce in a hydroponic farm at the school this year. Now they're selling boxes of healthy food to their community.
Organizers say the goal is to address the lack of healthy food options around the neighborhood.

One box of food will feed two people for a week for $14.
Students who were part of the program say it encouraged them to make healthier food choices and teach their friends and family to do the same.
