The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says a Brooklyn mother was arraigned, accused of concealing her 1-month-old baby boy’s corpse.

Gynae Kendall, 25, faced a judge for the first time Monday night and was released under supervision. Prosecutors say the judge ordered a mental health evaluation.

Police identified the infant as Adonnys Kendall, born Dec. 2. Officers discovered his body during a wellness check around 7:30 p.m. Saturday inside a seventh-floor apartment on Veronica Place near Beverly Road.

Adonnys was pronounced dead at the scene, his body found “wrapped in a duffel bag inside of a closet,” accompanied by a “strong odor of decomposition,” according to court documents.

The baby’s mother was not at the apartment for two weeks prior to the grim discovery, giving authorities “varying inconsistent statements about the child's whereabouts.”

As of Tuesday evening, the Chief Medical Examiner has not determined the infant’s cause of death.

Kendall is due back in court May 28.
