Brooklyn Museum unveils David Bowie exhibit
Music fans are flocking to the Brooklyn Museum for its new exhibit on David Bowie.
Curated by Matthew Yokobosky, the exhibit pays tribute to the late rock icon. Yokobosky tells News 12 there are over 500 items on display, including costumes, lyrics scribbled on paper and a collection of Bowie’s favorite books.
"This is the first time the majority of things have been seen," he said.
People will receive headphones when they enter the exhibit to listen to music and interviews with Bowie.
Fans from across the country have come to see the new exhibit, including Anna Hite from North Carolina.
"Oh I would have flown halfway around the world to see this, definitely," she said.
Hite says the meticulousness of all his work awed her.
"He wanted his hands in everything, and he had a vision for everything that he did," she said.
The exhibit will be on display until July 15. Admission is $20.
