Muslims from across the borough broke their fast today and celebrated the end of Ramadan in East New York.
Nearly 2,000 Muslims of all ages filled the streets for the annual Eid al-Fitr celebration, also known as Eid.
The faithful pray to Allah during Eid before breaking a month of fasting from sunrise to sundown with a big feast.
A hugging tradition concluded the ceremony to show love and support for fellow followers of Islam.
Muslims who observe Ramadan fast every day for a month from sunrise to sunset.
