A Brooklyn neighborhood is growing with a Target store under construction.
The store is being built where Nostrand, Flatbush and Avenue H meet. The area will be called the Triangle. The Target store is expected to create 1,200 new jobs. Smaller businesses welcome the retailer, saying it will help increase foot traffic and bring more shoppers to the area. Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz believes the store will help keep money in Brooklyn, where shopping choices are sometimes limited.
The builders expect to be done with construction by the fall of 2007.
