The Brooklyn Public Library is celebrating the fifth anniversary of its book matching service.
Bookmatch is a free service that provides handpicked book recommendations from librarians to readers.
Organizers marked the anniversary with a live event at the Central Library on Grand Army Plaza, with a customized book list for readers prepared on the spot by a librarian.
In addition, favorite lists from the last five years will be displayed in the grand lobby.
To date, the librarians at the Brooklyn Public Library have created nearly 5,000 lists for people.
