Brooklyn residents on Tuesday bundled up for continued bitter-cold conditions.
To defend against the elements, outdoor workers in Brooklyn Heights said they wore up to six layers of clothes, two pairs of gloves and handwarmers.
In Canarsie, fire crews had to deal with a frozen hydrant while responding to a call.
The bitter-cold conditions are expected to last through the week.
