Brooklyn residents came together Sunday in the hope of ending gun violence in the borough.
Residents, including pastors and young rappers, say they have lost family members and friends to gun violence and they have had enough.
They say that this summer they have noticed an increase in deaths from shootings, and that gun violence is an ongoing issue, not only in the borough but throughout the nation.
Kings County District Attorney Kenneth Thompson was among the officials who joined community members for the rally.
The group is also hoping to get into schools by this time next year to teach kids about the importance of ending gun violence.
