Brooklyn residents protested outside Rep. Yvette Clarke's office in Flatbush Thursday morning to demand she sign a resolution calling for a Gaza cease-fire.

More than 100 people showed up to the protest to voice their support for the Palestinian people. This is the third time in the last week that they have congregated outside her office. They tell News 12 they have yet to get a response.

The resolution they're asking she sign was proposed by Congressman Cori Bush of Missouri. It comes as more than 10,000 Palestinians have been killed so far, according to the Health Ministry in Gaza.

At the protest, they read the names of victims of the war and wrote them in chalk on the sidewalk outside the Representative's office.

The crowd consisted of her constituents, everyday New Yorkers, and groups including the New York City Democratic Socialists of America.

"She has not taken a stand on what so many people are seeing as a major issue of our time which is ethnic cleansing in Gaza," said Jeremy Cohan, co-chair of New York City Democratic Socialists of America.

The protest comes one day after 18 pro-Palestinian supporters were arrested and issued summons outside of Rep. Dan Goldman's Park Slope office. He too is being called on to demand a cease-fire.

News 12 reached out to Rep. Clarke's office for an interview and comment, we have not heard back yet.
