Brooklyn and the rest of the city is recovering from the first winter storm of 2007.
Many drivers spent Thursday morning digging out their cars, scraping ice and attempting to make it into work. Motorists are urged to use caution due to freezing temperatures that have left roads icy.
City officials say the storm's effects may cause some delays in garbage and recycling pickups, and alternate-side-of-street parking is in effect.
