Brooklyn residents showed their support for runners making their way through the borough during the New York City Marathon.
“My whole street comes down to cheer so I’m here with my neighbors. They come from all over the world and it’s just so exciting," said Tamar, a Park Slope resident.
The loudest cheerleaders were those who had a personal connection to someone in the race.
“We’ve lived here for about 10 years and we love to come out. It’s just such a positive display of humanity. And we actually have Matt’s cousin running so we’re here to cheer her on," said Stacy from Park Slope.
