Mount Sinai Beth Israel Brooklyn held its Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Fair for students on Friday.
Students from all around Brooklyn received a lifesaving lesson in CPR and using automatic electric defibrillators on someone in cardiac arrest.
They also got a tour inside an ambulance and to see what EMTs do during transport.
Each student received a certificate naming him or her a heart hero for picking up the valuable skills.
The fair was part of national sudden cardiac arrest awareness month.
