An East New York teen got the unique opportunity to design a limited-edition pair of Reebok sneakers.
The NYPD teamed up with Reebok to give 50 teens the chance to design their own sneaker.
JoJo Tatum, 15, scored the winning design. Tatum says it took months to create her winning sneaker. She says it was all possible, thanks to the help of her mentors from the NYPD's community center at 127 Penn.
Tatum says her sneakers are perfect for playing basketball and are an original design with Brooklyn flare.
Thirty pairs of the limited-edition sneakers will be given out to Tatum's closest friends and family.
Another sneaker design program gets underway next week at the community center.
