Brooklyn residents in the 43rd District will head to the ballot box on Tuesday for a special election to select their next assemblyperson.

Brooklyn residents in the 43rd District will head to the ballot box on Tuesday for a special election to select their next assemblyperson.
Diana Richardson had represented the district since 2015. She’s now the deputy borough president. Her seat in the Assembly is now vacant.
Voters will choose between Democrat Brian Cunningham, Working Families candidate Jelanie Deshong and Republican Mesidor Azor.
News 12's Hannah Kleiger had the opportunity to speak with Cunningham and Deshong.
Early voting closed on Sunday. Tuesday is the last chance to have your vote counted.
