A mini dance series created by a Brooklyn native is up for a big award.
"The Hood Dorothy" is nominated for a Webby award, which honors excellence on the internet.
"It is an ode to Black excellence and entertainment," says producer Nayilah Antoine. "So the first episode I did a tribute to the Harlem Renaissance and in the second episode I did a tribute to The Wiz Emerald City. And I am so excited just to see where my project is going and just to be acknowledge by the Webbys."
The winners will be announced later this month.
Antoine says she is working on season two.
