5h agoLocal activists and faith leaders rallied around Terrence Floyd, the brother of George Floyd, in a show of support Monday afternoon.
It comes as the trial of former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin, accused of killing Floyd, is expected to begin soon.
Jury selection was supposed to start Monday, but an appeals court ordered the judge to reconsider his original decision to dismiss a third-degree murder charge against the officer. The judge postponed the process.
Once jury selection starts in the trial, it is expected to take at least three weeks.
George Floyd’s brother, Terrence, says he is preparing to relive the horrifying moments that led to his brother’s death.
He tells News 12 he is going to Minneapolis for the trial and is grateful for the millions of people who have reached out and protested in the past several months to show support.
